About Candy Fong

Candy has worked at Brilliant Minds Psychology since 2015. She provides therapeutic intervention and assessments and has extensive experience in diagnostic assessments, including intensive training in ASD assessment.

Candy enjoys working with young children, children and adults. She is registered as a general psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Candy works with children of all ages in areas including behavioural management, sleep problems, toilet training, social skills training and emotional management. She also consults with adults in emotional management and sleep disorders, providing therapy and counselling based on evidence-based approaches.

Candy has specific training in Perinatal Psychology and has extensive experience in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including individualised behavioural management strategies, parenting support, school support, early intervention, social skills education and emotional development training.

Candy has a special interest and extensive training in IQ assessments, educational assessments, ADHD assessment, giftedness, intellectual strengths and weaknesses, and identifying specific learning disorders in reading, written expression and mathematics. She also provides Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic assessments for children using gold standard measures including the ADOS and ADI-R.
