Who we support
Occupational Therapy for different ages and needs
At Brilliant Minds Psychology, we understand how important the early years are for your child’s development. Our Occupational Therapists provide gentle, play-based support to help your little one build the foundations for learning, movement, and connection. We work closely with parents and caregivers to give you the tools and confidence to support your child’s progress at home.
How We Can Help:
Infants and Toddlers
Gentle, play-based support for early development, including movement, sensory processing, social interaction, settling, feeding, sleep, play and daily routines.
We also work closely with parents and caregivers, providing practical strategies that can be used at home.
Children and Adolescents
Support for children and teenagers who may be experiencing difficulties with daily tasks, emotional regulation, sensory needs, handwriting, play, school participation, self-care, movement, routines or independence.
Therapy is tailored to the young person’s needs and focused on practical everyday skills.
Adults
Support for adults who want to improve independence, wellbeing and daily functioning.
This may include sensory or emotional regulation, executive functioning, home or workplace adjustments, fatigue management, stress, lifestyle balance or functional capacity.
For parents and carers

- Avoids handwriting or has difficulty with fine motor tasks
- Finds climbing, jumping, running or coordination difficult
- Has trouble with emotional regulation
- Finds certain sounds, textures, sensations or environments challenging
- Has difficulty with play, social interaction or daily routines
- Has been recommended for OT by a teacher, paediatrician or other health professional

Not sure which support you need?
Occupational Therapy can involve ongoing therapy, practical skill-building and support strategies.
If you are looking for a formal OT assessment rather than therapy, Brilliant Minds Psychology also offers assessment services.
