Children and Adolescents
Support for children and teenagers with speech clarity, language development, literacy, social communication, fluency, voice, AAC, feeding or swallowing needs.
Therapy may focus on building communication skills for home, school and everyday participation.
Adults
Support for adults experiencing communication, voice, fluency, literacy, feeding or swallowing difficulties.

For parents and carers
When to consider Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy may be helpful if your child:
- Is difficult to understand when speaking
- Has trouble understanding or using words and sentences
- Is not yet talking as expected for their age
- Finds reading, writing or spelling difficult
- Has difficulty with play, interaction or social communication
- Stutters or has changes in speech fluency
- Has voice concerns, such as ongoing hoarseness or strain
- Has difficulty with feeding, swallowing or mealtimes
- Needs support communicating with AAC tools or technology
- Has been recommended for speech therapy by a teacher, GP, paediatrician or other health professiona
