Overview
This assessment may be suitable if your child has sensory processing differences that appear to affect their comfort, behaviour, regulation or participation in everyday activities. Common signs that may lead families to consider a sensory processing assessment include: Being easily distracted by noises or smells Rocking, shaking, spinning or seeking movement Difficulty holding or manipulating objects Difficulty identifying changes in body position Difficulty sitting still Sensitivity to certain clothing, textures or everyday sensations Avoiding or seeking particular sensory experiences The assessment reviews your child’s sensory processing profile and considers how sensory responses may be impacting everyday activities, routines and participation.

Not included
- This assessment is not covered by Medicare.
- Home or school visits are not included unless arranged separately; additional charges may apply.
- Additional work outside the package scope may incur extra fees.
How it works
Assessment Process
The assessment process is broken into clear sessions so the clinician can gather background information, complete the required assessment tasks, prepare the report and discuss the results with you.
Session 1: Parent / Guardian Intake Session
This 1 hour information-gathering session explores your child’s sensory profile, current concerns and everyday support needs.
This can be completed in clinic or via Telehealth.
Session 2: Parent / Guardian Feedback Session
This 1 hour session can be completed in clinic or via Telehealth, usually 2 to 4 weeks from the assessment date.
The clinician discusses the report and recommendations with you.

Report and Fees
The assessment report summarises your child’s sensory processing profile and how sensory responses may be affecting everyday activities, learning, play and participation.
Total cost: $1150.
A $550 non-refundable deposit or signed NDIS Service Agreement is required at the time of booking. This assessment is not covered by Medicare.
